Pattern Magic 3 is such a wonderful addition to this incredible series by Tomoko Nakamichi. The series inspire the reader to express bold intelligence with playful design process."Pattern magic" is more for advance clothes maker; Nevertheless, regardless of your skill level, I highly recommend this fantastic book/series for any reference/home library.............

Just because you COULD doesn't mean you SHOULD

I bought this as I loved the first Pattern Magic book but this is awful. As an explanation of fabric-manipulation techniques or design inspiration, it misses the mark by a country mile; I'd only consider five of the 27 designs to be actually wearable (and I'm a professional dressmaker with a penchant for unusual designs). However, if you're just after a coffee-table talking point, this is comedy gold.In short, the majority of the designs in this book as a lesson in 'just because you COULD doesn't mean you SHOULD.'
