5Rare Insight into the Nath Tradition (Ancient Yogic Lineage)
By ShivShakti
This book is a gem of wisdom and insight...it is an extremely well balanced book - part autobiography, part poetry, part a discourse on the ancient philosophy of Self Realization...It is a spiritual classic in that there is alot of material that you won't really find anywhere else unless you find a Master. It is not written in a flowery style and is to the point - in a more verbose style...various yogic/Hindu terms and names of saints/dieties discussed are from within the tradition and hence are spelled/pronounced slightly different than what you might find in some other books writtten by western authors. There are recollections of meeting many great saints of India - Anandamayi Ma, Shiva Bala Yogi, SunderNath Maharaj and other Immortal Naths...One of the pivotal events being His meetings with Shiv Goraksa Babaji - the same Babaji that Sri Yogananda talks about - and His subsequent Self-Realization.Gorakashanath can also be found in the 84 Mahasiddha tradition in Buddhism. Yogiraj also gives the Buddha's and Jesus' gurus in the Nath Tradition. Yogiraj also sheds light on other great yogic saints such Lahiri Mahasaya (Lahiri Baba). In short, this is an invaluable book that if you are a sincere and serious student of the Yogic path (particularly Kriya yoga or Kundalini Yoga). It is written by a natural born Siddha, who hails from the same royal solar dynasty as Ram and the Buddha Sakyamuni, and shows how a householder yogi can achieve Self-Realisation and even enlighten others on the yogic path.Yogiraj also gives some information on the Hamsa Yoga Sangh, its mission for 'World Peace Through Self Peace', and the importance on finding a true Master/Guru who must be able to bestow Pranapat (breathing through the disciples breath), Shaktipat (transferal of awakening healing Energy) and Shivapat (bestowal of Undifferientiated Consciousness).Especially noteworthy is the variety of ways/methods that the author approaches complex philosophical/yogic concepts. There are hightly scientific and metaphysical elaborations along side more traditional and devotional perspectives.Read with an open mind and heart and you won't regret it!!!

5Great autobiography by a true realised master
By Mr. R. D. Mitten
I have both the paper copy and the audiobook of this product of great clarity. The author conveys his experiences as a child, later in the Himalayas and with a series of enlightened beings in India. He also give a clear elucidation of the yogic path and the avatar/avadhoot doctrine. I haven't seen this knowledge in such an accessible format anywhere else. Particulary I enjoyed his stories of his meeting with Mahavatar Babaji. This is a book that will be re-read and re-listened to by myself for many years to come. This knowledge is a true treasure.
